AMTA Board Meeting Minutes and Updated Rulebook Released
Sept. 15, 2023 - The July 2023 AMTA Board Meeting Minutes and the corresponding updated AMTA Rulebook are now available. All schools should review the updated changes which include changes to:
- The invention of fact rules (including, but not limited to, 7.21 and 6.11)
- The electronic devices rules (cell phones on airplane mode may be used as timekeeping devices – see new Rule 7.1 for details)
- How to provide the gender pronoun form to judges (see updated Rule 5.10)
All member schools should review and take note of modifications to Rule 10.7 which prohibits any students or coaches from visiting AMTA tournament sites without prior approval before any sanctioned AMTA tournaments. Finally, all school primary contacts should also be aware that starting in the 2024-2025 season, AMTA will be updating school registration and certain AMTA tournament fees from the current rate that has been unchanged since 2012.
