The “Boy, I Wish We Had One More Chance to Compete Before Regionals!" Tournament
Purcellville, VA

The Patrick Henry College Mock Trial Team will be hosting an invitational tournament on Friday and Saturday, January 27 and 28, 2012 in sometimes sunny, sometimes snowy, always beautiful Purcellville, Virginia (about 45 miles west of Washington, D.C.).

The purpose of this tournament is stated pretty clearly in the title: It’s to provide teams with a chance to compete in a tournament setting between the end of the fall semester and the regionals. Accordingly, this will be a fairly bare-bones event. We want to keep the registration costs low; we want to offer a quality event, but we aren’t aiming to be very fancy. We will try to supply a full complement of outside judges, but, since this isn’t a qualifier, we will ask coaches to step in to judge if necessary to keep the tournament running on time. We have limited physical space at PHC, so we’ll need to cap at 20 teams, and, while we have had some teams ask us to hold spots for them, we still have space available.

The registration fee for the tournament will be $65.00 and all teams that wish to attend must register in full by December 16, 2011. You may register and pay online at http://www.phc.edu/events_mocktrial.php. (Hotel information may also be found on the site.)

If you would rather pay by check, please register online and indicate that a check will be mailed to: Gayle Reinhardt, Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs, Patrick Henry College, 10 Patrick Henry Circle, Purcellville, VA 20132.

If you have any questions, please contact Gayle Reinhardt at Patrick Henry College (jgreinhardt@phc.edu or call 540-441-8041).
